This was run in a different format to previous Tournaments . International teams were used but selected by random not chosen . Any way to stop Gaz winning another Tourny failed miserably as you'll see from the stats

MAY 2004 - PES3 TOURNAMENT

          

           7 Months since the last Tournament so this Tournament was eagerly awaited  ! With a couple of regulars                     

           missing .Gaz was quietly confident of maintaining his dominance of the game still holding a 100% record  .
          

           The venue was Chez Natasha's in Leyland coinciding with a Garden Warming Party to celebrate Natasha's

           ace new garden (PHOTOS TO FOLLOW).

           2 newcomers joined the Tournament , Gareth Wahl alias Dawg & Jake Dunion alias Jakey D .
           Due to time restrictions it was decided on a straight Round Robin League with 6 teams
           playing each other once .

            Representing                                          BARCELONA  was Dawg
                                                                                REAL MADRID was John Orritt       
                                                                                LIVERPOOL was Robin
                                                                                MANCHESTER UNITED was Jake  
                                                                                AC MILAN was Cliff
                                                                                ARSENAL was Gaz .

            In a tense 1st round Barcelona drew 0-0 with Real Madrid , Liverpool Beat Man Utd 2-0
            and Arsenal beat AC Milan 1-0 to an own goal .See below for full results .

            Little did we know at the start of the night what shocks were to follow ! After 2 rounds
            Arsenal (GAZ) was unbeaten at the top with 6 points , so nothing unusual there ! Until in
            Round 3 Arsenal played Man Utd . Gaz v 7 year old Jake . Final score Man Utd 1 Arsenal 0.
            Gaz's dominannce destroyed by a 7 year old boy ! To make matters worse in the following
            2 rounds Gaz drew both games and consequently lost his title to Cliff playing with AC Milan .

A moment awaited by immature young and middle aged men everywhere !

Yes , Pro Evo Soccer 3 is out and to celebrate we had our 3rd Tournament.

Missing from PES2 Tournament2 was Pete & Robin but a newcomer crossed from the darkside ( He has an XBOX) , Carlos .

Due to kick-off at 2000 needless to say apart from Cliff everyone was late , especially Carlos . Eventually the games got under way with each person play every other person once in a round robin competition . It was soon obvious that Gaz Griffin was going to win yet another Tournament  however he had to work hard in each game .

Carlos as the newcomer struggled partially because he plays Fifa Footy which uses the controls in the opposite way . So , to amuse himself much to the annoyance of Kieran he decided to spend each game getting 4 men sent off so that the game was abandoned and whatever the score was at the time was ignored with a score of 3-0 being posted . Unfortunately for Kieran he was 4-0 up with loads of time left when his game got abandoned with a result of 3-0 .

All being fairly new to the PES3 game we were shocked with some sexually simulated acts by various Man Utd players after scoring a goal .John Orritt didn't know where to look !

The final result was another resounding victory by Gaz who did not concede a single goal ! However 2nd place was close and all hinged on the last game between Cliff & John . To finish 2nd Cliff needed to win or draw and with only a few minutes left and the score at 1-1 John  got a late goal . John  needed to win by several goals to overtake Kieran and so with Kieran requiring a score of 2-1 to John to finish 2nd that's what he got .

This competition was held at the Griffin household in Astley Village so thanks to our host Gaz and to Nicola for allowing us . Coming soon , probably over XMAS Hols , PES3 Tournament 4 and coming soon Tiger Woods Golf

                the 2nd PES2 trophy took place . This time there were 6 entrants who travelled from near
                and far . We had a player all the way from Munich . Kick off was at 2000 and took place on
                2 TV sets simultaneously .
                The players were split into 2 groups of 3 . Each player played the other 2 twice and the top
                2 from each group then played in the Semis and son on . Group 1 consisted of Gary Griffin
                current PES2 trophy holder , Cliff  Brown current 3rd place holder and newcomer Pete
                Sawyer . Group 2 comprised of Kieran Brown current runner-up holder , Robin Brown
                newcomer representing our German bretheren and finally the previous wooden spoon
                holder John Orritt .
                The venue was at the Orritts in Tarleton with Kim Orritt being the hostess with the mostest !
                Amazingly , as the games  kicked off at the same time the 1st goals on ecah screen were
                scored at the same time . The tension could be felt and smelt in the air . Kieran was so bad
                he started smoking again !
